The Café at Wave Hill in the Bronx is a delightful respite nestled within one of the city's most picturesque parks. The café impresses visitors not only with its historic charm but also with its vibrant outdoor seating, inviting guests to savor meals surrounded by nature's beauty. Many reviewers rave about the quality of the food, particularly the fresh, locally sourced ingredients that elevate each dish. Patrons like Chintan Desai appreciate the variety of delicious vegetarian options, including a standout Grain/Kale salad that even kale skeptics love.
Customers consistently commend the café’s welcoming atmosphere, which makes it an ideal spot for a relaxing meal after exploring Wave Hill's stunning gardens. Nicole Montana notes how the fresh and well-prepared portions, like the Cobb salad and chicken Caesar wrap, exceed expectations, while Adelyn Castro's enthusiasm for the chicken sandwich showcases a must-try dish that consistently delights. Although the park entrance fee may deter some from just dining, the unique culinary experience and serene surroundings make a visit to The Café at Wave Hill well worth it for food lovers and park-goers alike.

Great cafe with with outdoor seating vibrant space. Good vegetarian options and lemonades are delicious. This is part of the Wave Hill Park. The structure in which it is located is historic. Good break from walking around this beautiful park. A gem in Riverdale Section of Bronx. Only negative is one cannot go to just eat there without paying the fees for the park entrance.

My daughter and I are having late breakfast/ lunch there every week, and it is a resourcing experience . We not only love the venue but the quality of the food serve is unique, especially the vegetables ( I ordered the Grain/ Kale salad and the quality of the Kale was exceptional. I usually do not like kale but now, I do!). Additionally the menu always offers new options and we have enjoyable surprises.

The Cafe at Wave Hill truly exceeded all my expectations! The portions are fair, tasty, fresh and generally well blanched. The fact that they use locally sourced ingredients is also a wonderful bonus. We had Cobb salad, chicken caesar wrap, and a breaded chicken sandwich. The indoor dining area is in a beautifully historic building and many of the meals offered are made by kitchen staff to order. It was clean and the workers were wonderful, even at peak hours, but the outside dinning section stole the show for us. Having a quick bite surrounded by nature enhances the whole experience.

My favorite chicken sandwich at a museum or cultural institution is here. I don't know why, I love it so, but it's great and I recommend it. They also offer a good selection of drinks, snacks and other foods but the chicken sandwich. Trust me. It's better than decent.

Super tasty and the food is actually pretty interesting as well. The iced coffee is super yummy and the kids loved the french fries.

Delicious food - try the bacon egg and cheese. Nice atmosphere with pretty views. Not a ton of options but everything was tasty. A little pricey but not bad for inside a garden. Lots of children.

What a lovely place to be. The cafe is a bit overpriced for small portions but the food is great, fresh and healthy. We had salads and lemonade but the best park of this is garden itself with mini hiking and lots of plants- the river view and the numerous benches and chairs
